The most fun you can have in a car park….

Bountiful fresh fruit and vegetables abound at the market this week, picked at the perfect time from the grower for freshness and ripeness. Some of the many fruits and vegetables available this week are: Apples, avocadoes, bok choy, cabbage, carrots, fennel, herbs, kale, leeks, lettuce, lemons, limes, micro greens, potatoes, silver beet, spinach, tomatoes, watercress and much more. Come down and see for yourself.

The ultimate kiwi delicacy, whitebait fritters are available at the market at The Fritter Man. Along with his usual favorites: Mussel fritters, corn and bacon fritters and pumpkin and feta…. Yum!! If you’re looking for food to warm the cockles of your heart also try Cornish Pasties, Korean Pancakes and panini made from produce from the market and much more to eat at the market to have with your hot coffee.

This week Roberto’s Kitchen has two specials, so be in quick before they sell out: Spinach, Mushroom and Cheese Lasagna 800g usually $16.00, this week only $14.90. Also Potato Gnocchi with Tomato Sauce 650g usually $14.00 this week only $12.90. There will also be free testers for you to try. Don’t miss out!!

It wouldn’t be a Farmers Market without the many jams and preserves available. Granny Dunn has the best selection of hand made marmalades around. Take a look at his selection: Lemonade, Orange, Orange Ginger, Orange Whisky, Grapefruit, Orange & Grapefruit, Orange & Grapefruit with Ginger, Grapefruit with Whisky….whew!! As if that wasn’t enough, he also has the most delicious Tamarillo Chutney which is great with cold meat or on a cracker with cheese. He is also at the Cambridge market.

Lots of bread, cheese, pasta, fish, flowers, plants, herbs and seedlings, chutneys, sauces, relishes, apple juice and much more…. Come and stay with a coffee, food and music and enjoy the atmosphere.

Just a heads up…. Te Awamutu Farmers Market will be starting again on Thursday 4th. October at Selwyn Park from 3pm - 6pm.

Cambridge Farmers Market:   Victoria Square, Saturday 8am-12pm.

Hamilton Farmers Market:     Sonning Car Park, Sunday 8am-12pm

Te Awamutu Farmers Market:   Selwyn Park, Thursday 3pm-6pm.
